{"id":4280,"date":"2024-10-24T11:43:37","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T11:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apex-aiexperts.com\/?p=4280"},"modified":"2024-10-24T11:43:37","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T11:43:37","slug":"reviewing-your-trading-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apex-aiexperts.com\/es\/reviewing-your-trading-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Revisar su diario de operaciones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a good number of trades, you will have collected a lot of fancy-schmancy data and observations on the market and yourself\u2026how do you analyze it all??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s pretty simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find what works and keep doing it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find out what doesn\u2019t work and stop doing it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And finding what works and doesn\u2019t work is all about keen observation and asking the right questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refine your analysis of your trading results by breaking them down into smaller categories, such as day of the week or specific&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/learn-forex\/buying-and-selling-currency-pairs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">currency pairs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bpcdn.co\/images\/2016\/05\/junior-losing-money.png\" alt=\"Reviewing Your Forex Trading Journal\" title=\"Reviewing Your Forex Trading Journal\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s a sample of the types of questions you should be asking yourself when you review your journal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/how-to-trade-chart-patterns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chart patterns<\/a>\u00a0or technical\u00a0indicators\u00a0work out best for you? Which do not?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can you adjust your indicators to get you in trades earlier, or help you avoid whipsaws and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/how-to-detect-fakeouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fakeouts<\/a>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you closing winning trades too early? Is it that you need to adjust your profit targets or are you afraid of losing your unrealized gains?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you hold onto losing trades longer than you should? How can you improve your stop-loss processes?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How often do you follow your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/what-is-a-trading-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trading plans<\/a>? Of the ones you do follow, have you been profitable?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What trade setup did you miss, or not take, and why? Was it a legitimate signal or setup according to my method or system?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What could you have done differently to make prevent\/reduce this loss or maximize your gain?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you winning more on trades with multiple lots or single lots?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/know-your-trading-environment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">market environments<\/a>\u00a0have you been doing well in? Trending or ranging?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Were most of your wins or losses biased towards certain currency pairs?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/how-to-trade-forex-on-news-releases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">news events<\/a>\u00a0have brought on the kind of volatility you were looking to trade or avoid?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tradecenterfx.com\/learn-forex\/forex-trading-sessions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trading sessions<\/a>\u00a0have been the most favorable to your trading style?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you losing trades concentrated on certain days of the week, such as Mondays and Fridays?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions like these can help you quickly filter out the actions that have kept you from making some pips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the beginning, the idea is to get to the point where you have figured out what works for you and to only do those things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have figured out those right things, the next step is to consistently practice those actions that work until it becomes a habit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, persistent journaling will help keep you on top of your performance and help you recognize when the markets change\u2013and yes the markets are always changing.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a good number of trades, you will have collected a lot of fancy-schmancy data and observations on the market and yourself\u2026how do you analyze it all??
